Dusseldorf Boot – January 22nd-30th 2022

PSP Logistics and Starclass Yacht Transport are offering a barge service for yachts going to the Dusseldorf Boat Show. This service is mainly for yachts that are too big to transport by road to the Dusseldorf Boot which is held at Dusseldorf Exhibition Centre in January.

Our Northbound vessel, the MV Deo Volente, will be carrying new yachts from Mediterranean ports to Rotterdam. They will then be joined by yachts from the UK and Northern Europe which will be arriving in Rotterdam by their own power, or as we say on their own bottoms. In Rotterdam they will be lifted onto the river barge using the heavy lift cranes on the ship. Then when the barge arrives at Dusseldorf they will be towed off the barge and waiting trucks will take them to the Show. Most of the large yachts are in Hall 6 at the Dusseldorf Boat Show and this system takes the yachts into the hall where the exhibition organizers can then lift them onto the various stands.

PSP Logistics has already taken bookings from UK and European manufacturers for the barge system which will be loading in Rotterdam on first week in January 2022.

The latest covid figures in Europe are causing some concerns about the show but let’s hope everything works out well to allow the marine industry to start 2022 with a superb Dusseldorf Show.
