PSP Worldwide Logistics is proud to announce that our HR & Marketing Director, Jo Dixie-Goodwin, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Southampton Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group, part of the wider Hampshire Chamber of Commerce. Jo joins Gareth Miller, Managing Director of Carswell Gould, who has been named the new Chair, succeeding outgoing Chair Peter Taylor, Senior Partner at Paris Smith LLP. Together, Jo and Gareth form a dynamic leadership team committed to championing Southampton’s business community and strengthening economic growth across our region.

The King’s Award for Enterprise has officially arrived

PSP Worldwide Logistics has proudly received The King’s Award for Enterprise, one of the most prestigious accolades for UK businesses, during a formal presentation at its Fareham headquarters.

The award was officially presented by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Mr Nigel Atkinson, in recognition of PSP’s outstanding contribution to International Trade. During the visit, the Lord-Lieutenant met with staff, toured the facilities, and formally handed over the award and scroll on behalf of His Majesty The King.

“This is a huge honour for PSP and a proud moment for everyone in the company,” said Frank Dixie, Managing Director of PSP Worldwide Logistics. “The King’s Award reflects the dedication, expertise, and commitment of our entire team. It was a pleasure to welcome the Lord-Lieutenant and his deputy, and to share this incredible achievement with all our staff in person.”

The U.S. government has introduced a new 10% blanket tariff on all imported goods, effective 5 April 2025, with additional country-specific tariffs (including the UK) to follow on 9 April 2025.

Ben Haste Completes Freight Forwarding Apprenticeship and Joins Marine Team

Ben Haste, a young and passionate professional in the freight forwarding industry, has successfully completed his apprenticeship programme and has moved on to join the marine team of PSP Worldwide Logistics.

Ben, who has always been fascinated by the complexity of the shipping industry, has spent the past two years learning the ins and outs of freight forwarding, in particular airfreight and courier, whilst completing his apprenticeship at a PSP. The experience has prepared him well for his latest challenge, which is to learn about shipping yachts and motorboats all over the world.

“I am thrilled to have passed my apprenticeship and to be joining the marine team,” said Ben. “This is an exciting new chapter in my career, and I am eager to learn everything I can about shipping yachts to different parts of the world and the challenges we face when dealing with out-of-gauge freight. ”

In his role with the marine team, Ben will work alongside experienced professionals who specialise in handling the logistics of shipping spares, yachts and other luxury vessels. He will also get an opportunity to see and plan loadings and to visit boat shows. He will be responsible for assisting with the organisation of complex and delicate movements, liaising with customers and making sure that all operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Ben’s new role is a testament to his hard work and determination to succeed in the freight forwarding industry.
