A blog from Jo Dixie-Goodwin – That’s a wrap!
/in PSP News/by JoWhat a joy it was to be out and about catching up with our industry friends at Seawork after such a long hiatus due to the Covid restrictions. We have always found Seawork to be a great place to meet with our customers and make new contacts. This year was another cracker and for some reason whichever week the organisers choose to hold the event, the sun comes out and douses us with tropical heat, a bit too much at times!
The three-day trade show welcomed guests from all over the world and we hosted visitors and exhibitors on our stand, offering them a chance to take the weight off their feet and have a cold drink. Our operations team based in our Fareham office were on hand ready to provide prompt quotations for visitors and exhibitors alike.
So only time will tell how successful the show really was, but the sales team will be connecting with all our old and new Seawork contacts over the next few weeks. Bring on the next exhibition, we are ready!

/in PSP Blog/by Hannah ClarkNo two days are ever the same at PSP Worldwide Logistics. Our Sales Team, Mike Austin and Chrissie Capel, were out visiting companies and delivering our complimentary Shipping Workshop. Whilst they were in the area, they popped in to visit their colleague Martin who runs PSP Dorset at Hurn Airport. Martin introduced them to Jason Putman from Owl Hawk Experience and Bird Control who had just arrived with his bright red van with the most amazing contents. They were lucky enough to meet the awesome Boris the Eagle-Owl. Boris was on a mission to scare away some unwanted flying visitors from the industrial estate.
Jason provides a bird control service which is an eco-friendly, non-evasive method of removing birds from properties and businesses, basically Boris scares them off. Bird-related problems can lead to lost business, contaminated products, and expensive damage to building exteriors.
Chrissie exclaimed “After sitting in an office delivering our shipping training for a couple of hours, it was great to be out in the fresh air with Jason and Boris and his other feathered friends for a few minutes. We blew away the cobwebs and were ready for another afternoon delivering our shipping workshop to a company in Poole that just wanted a refresher and ‘shipping health check’. If you would like a Refresher or are facing challenges with your imports/exports we will be happy to visit but without Boris!” Contact chrissie.capel@psp-logistics.com to arrange a date!

/in PSP News/by JoI am the HR Director at PSP Logistics and I really do admire our incredible team and the service they have consistently provided throughout the past testing 24 months. You may have seen the news, heard the rumours, or even experienced it first-hand, the world of logistics is having one of its most challenging periods ever!
Of course, a great logistician is used to finding solutions to near on impossible problems but currently we are contending with congestion, delays, price hikes, limited capacity on vessels and flights, a global driver shortage and this all makes life very difficult. Our amazing operations team, and seriously they are such a resilient and upbeat bunch, have been battling on behalf of our customers to get up to date information, space on ships and planes and of course competitive rates; but many of the issues are out of our hands.
Our hard-working packing team have also had their own supply chain challenges to contend with, with a global shortage of wood and ply. Fortunately our purchasing team have worked tirelessly to ensure there are enough raw materials to continue to build cases and crates.
So, rest assured that we at PSP will do everything we can to make sure your products get to where they need to, safely and on time. Well done team!
